Faintest Idea take the bouncing beat of 2 Tone Ska and smash it over the head with fast, angry UK Punk. Hailing from the East Anglian region of Britain the rabble rousing political lyrics are shouted over layers of catchy brass lines and heavy boot stomping beats. Signed to TNSrecords the band have extensively toured the UK, Europe, Russia, Canada and Japan and had major airplay on BBC Radio 1’s Punk Show with Mike Davies, being invited down to the legendary Maida Vale Studios in London to record a live session.

Call Me Malcolm is a five-piece ska/punk band from Kent, UK, blending hard punk, a crunchy ska sound, and three-part harmonies. Described by Vinnie Fiorello (Less Than Jake) as “a saving grace of the genre”, the band was originally inspired by the US third wave leaders of the late 90s. Since then, Call Me Malcolm has evolved a harder, sharper edge, creating a unique sound which is eliciting plaudits from around the world.

Gamma Rave
Dub / DnB / Rave / Punk
Live electronica is Gamma Rave’s basic mission statement, the latest project from Will Harwood (Gadje Scum), Sanne Werkers (Brazzmatazz, Kinky Star), Jonas Nyaarr (Idealus Maximus, GoToEleven) and Geert de Waegeneer (Thou, BOMA Studio). The group aims to bring dance-floor-filling electronic dance music to the live circuit, taking a fresh approach to the genre by combining the synthetic tones of electronica with the more raw style of punk.
If anything, the band is as much “live” as they are “electronic”, with a dynamic sound that is constantly shifting in style and mood. Songs often fade in on a sinister trip-hop groove, before flowing into a hip-hop flavoured build, and then finally breaking out into a screaming Drum & Bass climax. A healthy dose of dub, dubstep, rock, and techno, also helps to keep the songs fresh and surprising.
Having shared stages with the likes of Asian Dub Foundation and Dub Pistols, as well as having played a closing set at the Gentse Feesten and performing at the prestigious Boomtown Fair in the UK, Gamma Rave has all the makings of a dance-floor shaking spectacle.

Quite often nicknamed “Mister Skalloween”, this tends to feel an awful lot like an inside job. Previous in-house dj efforts from the Skalloween camp have had varying degrees of success, so this is gonna be an interesting one to say the least. RADIO OBUSIUS’ defense, he is on top of his “Beer and Butterscotch infused party music” game and will be spinning short and powerful 30 minute sets before, in between and shortly after the bands, best served with an fresh drink. Cheers to that!

Dit nieuwgebakken kersverse nu nog onbekend duo-dj-gespan Dj Michelangeloe weigert pertinent Engelstalige korte bioteksten te schrijven en is klaar om de wereld te veroveren met hun penetrante opvoering waarin ze naadloos corpulente beats uit de hardcore en thunderdome-scene mixen tot piramidaal gepeperde hardcore-sets. Deze onervaren en prille doch riante dj’s worden in de wandelgangen omschreven als aankomende beloften die elke miskende dunk van menig sceptici zullen overdonderen met een demonische compositie.
Mental Loewieken’s exuberante expertise in de hardere muziekgenres, zich vaardig gemaakt middels jarenlang doorgedreven veldonderzoek in de underground hardcorescene, weet deze harde pulsen te combineren met de malsere invloeden uit de eerste generatie Thunderdome-oorden, ontsproten uit de jeugdbiotoop van Boom Boom Michel, die met zijn muziekkennis beide subgenres mee kan harmoniseren.
Dit Aalsters koppel laat menig muziekliefhebbers van het laatste uur daveren uit hun Nike Air Maxen met een oorstrelende bombarie die elke dansvloer omtovert tot een herschapen early gabber rave.
